Canada Wildfire Strategic Plan 2022-2027
One of the key goals of Canada Wildfire is to improve the understanding of the science behind wildfires and to help develop more effective methods for managing them. This will involve conducting research in areas such as fire behaviour, fire ecology, and fire risk assessment and using the knowledge gained to inform policy and practice.
The Strategic Plan sets out partnerships as the key to meeting those goals by bringing together stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds, including government agencies, academic institutions, and indigenous communities; this initiative seeks to create a more integrated and coordinated approach to vegetation fire management.
